About the facility
Formed in 1998, Barwon Health located in Geelong is one of the largest and most comprehensive regional health services in Australia, providing care at all stages of life and circumstance. Health services available through Barwon Health cover the full spectrum from primary care, community services, aged care, rehabilitation, mental health, emergency and acute care. With the exception of neurosurgery and transplantation, virtually all other specialties are available through University Hospital. With over 2,400 births per year we provide high quality, safe, people-focussed care to people in Geelong and South Western Victoria. University Hospital Geelong's Special Care Nursery (SCN) is a 10 cot, Level 2+ high dependency, which is supported by six specialist paediatricians and a nursing staff of three per shift.
About the role
Barwon Health is looking for a dedicated Grade 2 Registered Nurse to join their dedicated and friendly team in the Special Care Nursery. In this position you will work a set 12 hour roster covering day & night shifts. You will be responsible for the provision of patient focused holistic nursing care to those assigned to you, in order to achieve desired clinical outcomes.
To be successful in this position neonatal experience and a post graduate qualification is essential. You will have the opportunity to step up and learn leadership within the unit.
